Function and Longevity are heritable. The mother to DDA Carrolton 45W has weaned 16 calves. He is sire to high selling bull at our sale last December and sold to the Peebles Ranch in Texas. I see Pinebank on both sides of this pedigree. Pinebank SE 10D is from a cow that lived to at least 17 years old, is when I saw her. Bill Hodge saw her at about 8 years old.
